Governors Hall is an eclectic pub, craft beer and wood fired pizzeria, with a casual food dining experience. The Guv, as it is affectionately known to locals, family and friends was named after Governor Phillip, whom in 1788 celebrated in Botany Bay with a jug of porter, an old english beer.
However, more importantly, Governor Phillip developed a friendship with an indigenous local, Bennelong, both developed a friendship, with Governor Phillip calling Bennelong son (Dooroow) and Bennelong calling Governor Phillip father (Beanna - Elder).
Governors Hall will continue this tradition of love, respect and concillation with our indigenous brothers and sisters. It is time for moving forward together and to celebrate at the Governors Hall !
